Andrea N. Smith has over 20 years’ experience in non-profit fundraising, development, and marketing in the healthcare and higher education field. She began her career with a national healthcare non-profit organization and transitioned to working with large non-profit health systems. She previously served as the Vice President, Development for the largest provider of private scholarships in the nation, Scholarship America, helping to achieve its mission to eliminate barriers to educational success so that any student can pursue their dream. Andrea has successfully managed multi-million-dollar campaigns, special events, fundraising programs, and special projects. These efforts have led to the creation of new trauma, cardiac and stroke centers, and other expansions and improvements to Atlanta non-profit health systems and to ensure that students have access and opportunity to further their education.

Andrea is currently the Chief Development Officer at the Latin American Association, the longest standing Latino serving non-profit in the state of Georgia. The Latin American Association works to lower the barriers to economic mobility and prosperity that Latino immigrants face as they adapt and integrate to life in the United States. She is a member of the Executive Team and provides strategic and managerial leadership to the departments that lead marketing efforts to drive client and donor acquisition, new partnerships, fundraising efforts, communications, public relations, and brand strategy.

Andrea currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta, Agape Youth & Family Center, Georgia Center for Child Advocacy (GCCA) as Board Secretary and the Advisory Board for Chris180. She served as the 2019-2020 President of The Junior League of Atlanta, Inc., Past President of the Atlanta chapter of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA), and Past Chair of the Board of Directors for Whitefoord, Inc. She has also served on the Board of Directors for the Georgia Asylum and Immigration Network (GAIN), Literacy Action, Atlanta Children’s Day Shelter and the Atlanta Speech School.

In 2013, she was named one of the top 20 Influences under 40 for Tastemaker Magazine and is a graduate of the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) Regional Leadership Institute (RLI). Andrea is a graduate of Georgia College & State University and holds a BBA with majors in both business management and information technology. She is a lover of international travel and is always up for taking a dance class. Andrea resides in the Upper Westside of Atlanta.
