Meet Yulimar Diaz

After arriving in the United States from Venezuela just over two years ago with her spouse and two children, Yulimar Diaz faced the challenge of building a new life while caring for her family. As the mother of a child with a disability, she dreamed of finding a way to contribute financially while remaining present for the people who matter most to her.

Through Avanzando Juntas, Yulimar gained the skills, confidence, and support to transform her passion for baking into Yuli’s Bakery, a growing business specializing in pastries, desserts, and catering. Today, she continues to expand her business and shares her homemade treats with the community every Saturday at the Latin American Association.

Yulimar’s story is a powerful reminder that when women are given the tools to succeed, families thrive, dreams become reality, and entire communities grow stronger.
