Abriendo Puertas is the nation’s 1st evidence based program for parents with children 0-5 years old. It is 10-week course that covers multiple topics ranging from brain and language development, to nutrition, mental health and childcare, among other topics.
Since its implementation, the LAA has served 6 schools / organizations across Cobb, Fulton, DeKalb and Gwinnett counties, and thus far have had 65 parents graduate. Our parents are engaged and committed to learn and develop the skills that will allow them to advocate for their children’s education as well as for their own rights as parents.”
