LAA displays Mexican artist Julieta Carrillo’s art installation honoring Latinos in the U.S.

The LAA is proud to display on our premises Mexican artist Julieta Carrillo’s art installation honoring Latinos in the U.S. The Atlanta-area artist, who studied psychology in her native Mexico, has been painting since she was a child. With this impressive work of art that features portraits of real-life Latinos living in the U.S. interspersed in the fabric of the American flag, Carrillo exalts the human richness of Latino immigrants.

“I want to celebrate the many virtues and contributions of Latino immigrants,” says Carrillo. “The Latinos I have met in this country embody hard work, generosity, productivity, honesty, kindness, love for family and pride in who they are.”
