Como es tradición, uniremos a la comunidad para reconocer las contribuciones de personas y organizaciones excepcionales que marcan la diferencia en las vidas de las familias latinas. Como parte de la programación del evento, destacaremos y celebraremos aquellos que han impactado a LAA a lo largo de su historia en Georgia.
LAA Cornerstone Award
The Cornerstone Award is a distinct honor given to an instrumental leader and supporter of the Latin American Association and the Atlanta community.
Awardee: Ann and Jim Curry
LAA Valor Award
This award is given to those who put their country and their state before themselves. We recognize the continuous hard work you have done to keep our communities safe, especially during the COVID crisis.
Awardee: Commissioner John King
LAA Partner of the Year
The Partner of the Year Award is given each year to a volunteer who has gone above and beyond in serving the Latino community. Award recipients are people who have shown unparalleled passion, dedication, and expertise in their work. They are volunteers who put their heart into every aspect of their service and have inspired a multitude of individuals with their selflessness.
Awardee: International Rescue Committee
LAA Volunteer of the Year
This award is given to those who have demonstrated leadership in volunteerism.
Awardee: Crecer, the Hispanic/Latino BRG – a UPS Business Resource Group
LAA Business Mind Servant Heart
This award exemplifies how a foundation can not only support an organization financially, but also build relationships and engage with the community.
Awardee: Atlanta Braves Foundation
LAA Legacy Award
The Legacy Award is given to an individual that has shown commitment, dedication, and support to sustain and push forward the Latino community and the LAA.
Awardee: Phil Brown
LAA Inspiration Award
The Inspiration Award recognizes an individual or group that captivates inspires and motivates and who exemplifies the Latin American Association’s vision of ‘Opportunity for All.’
Awardee: Shirley Paucar, Sweet Toppings ATL
Heart of the LAA Award
The Heart of the LAA Award recognizes one staff member who embodies the LAA’s mission of empowering their clients, their teammates, and ultimately Georgia’s Latino community to adapt, integrate, and thrive. They display passion for their work in their day-to-day duties and serve their clients from their hearts. The recipient of the Heart of the LAA Award is nominated and selected internally by LAA staff.
