Nadia Bredthauer Hoefel, Chief Operating Officer, Latin American Association
Nadia joined the Latin American Association as a volunteer in February 2021 and was promoted to Director of Operations in September 2021. Nadia brings a global perspective to the organization. She is the daughter of Swiss and Salvadoran parents and grew up in Ecuador. She has a bachelor’s degree in International Hospitality Management from the Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne in Switzerland and her MBA from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School in Atlanta, Georgia. She is fluent in English, Spanish, French, and has a working knowledge of German and Portuguese.
Mrs. Hoefel was also co-founder and CEO of Pro Pueblo Corp., which continues to work with Ecuadoran artists to distribute products fashioned from sustainably harvested and recycled materials. She has enjoyed giving back to the community by volunteering with Emory University’s Start-Clarkson Social Enterprise Program. She also served on the board and is the Conference Co-Chair of the Executive Women of Goizueta at Emory. Previously, Mrs. Hoefel was co-founder and owner of leather goods manufacturer Tony Perotti Italy. In addition, she was a Food and Beverage Assistant Manager at the Four Seasons Resort in Dallas, Texas as well as a Special Events Coordinator at the Peninsula Hotel in Bangkok,Thailand.
