Hispanics’ share of the U.S. workforce continues to grow at a rapid pace. By 2018, Hispanics are expected to make up 18% of the labor force, up from 15% in 2011.
For many Latino immigrants, however, poor English-language proficiency, low educational levels and lack of college or professional credentials constitute major barriers to labor force participation and career advancement.
Our Workforce Development Department offers an array of services for professional and semiprofessional job seekers. Job seekers have access to recruiting sessions with top Atlanta employers and a robust job bank. We work closely with employers to understand what they are looking for in potential hires and to assist them in recruiting bilingual talent. Our annual Career Expo attracts hundreds of bilingual job seekers every year.

Mini job fairs are customized recruitment events featuring up to six employers and hosted on site at the LAA.

We work with employers, including multinational companies, small businesses and government agencies, so that we stay on top of current hiring needs. We constantly update our Job Bank with new job openings. Browse current job openings, post your résumé and receive alert emails for the jobs you want when you register to use our constantly updated Job Bank. Recent listings include TV producer for Public Broadcasting Atlanta, medical interpreter, software engineer and teller for Bank of America.
Annual Career Expo
Our annual Career Expo is Atlanta’s premier career fair for bilingual individuals looking for professional and semiprofessional employment opportunities. The Career Expo brings together hundreds of qualified job seekers and more than 30 companies, government agencies and nonprofits searching for bilingual talent.
This year’s Career Expo will take place on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at the Latin American Association.
