LATIN AMERICAN ASSOCIATION AND PARTNERS TO HOST APRIL 19 CITIZENSHIP DAY ACROSS GEORGIA
Atlanta (Oct. 26, 2007) – The Latin American Association (LAA) will host Citizenship Day, a Naturalization Drive and Information Session to provide professional assistance to Latino immigrants in the U.S. citizenship application process. The event is free and will take place Saturday, April 19 at the LAA's DeKalb Outreach Center on 2750 Buford Highway, Atlanta, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The LAA is working in collaboration with the Atlanta Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association to sponsor the naturalization drive. Chapter attorneys and trained volunteers will be present to help participants apply for citizenship. Event partners include the Asian/Pacific American Council of Georgia, Catholic Charities, Inc., Filipino-American Association of Greater Atlanta, Georgia Association of Latino Elected Officials, Georgia Latino Forum, Malaysian Association of Georgia, North Fulton Bar Association, Organization of Chinese Americans, Refugee Family Services, and the Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Georgia.
"For so many, citizenship is an integral step in achieving their goals and becoming active participants in all aspects of U.S. society," says Zoraima Flores, Attorney and Director of Immigration at the Latin American Association. "The LAA is proud to be part of an event that gives immigrants the opportunity to receive expert legal guidance on the complicated road to U.S. citizenship."

La AsociaciÓn Latinoamericana llevarÁ a cabo una CampaÑa de NaturalizaciÓn el prÓximo 19 de Abril
Atlanta (26 de octubre de 2007) – La Asociación Latinoamericana (ALA) estará llevando a cabo una Campaña de Naturalización, así como también una sesión informativa para proveer asistencia profesional a inmigrantes en el proceso de aplicación para la ciudadanía estadounidense. El evento es completamente gratis y se llevará a cabo el día sábado, 19 de abril a partir de las 9:00 a.m. hasta las 2:00 p.m. Aquellas personas interesadas, pueden acudir al Centro de Servicios de DeKalb de la Asociación Latinoamericana ubicado en 2750 Buford Highway, Atlanta.
La Asociación Latinoamericana esta trabajando en colaboración con el Atlanta Chapter de la American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) para patrocinar la campaña de naturalización. Tanto abogados representantes de AILA como voluntarios calificados, estarán presentes para ayudar a los participantes a preparar sus aplicaciones por ciudadanía. Entre otras, las organizaciones que estan sirviendo como co-patrocinadores de este evento incluyen: Asian/Pacific American Council of Georgia, Caridades Católicas, Filipino-American Association of Greater Atlanta, Asociación de Representantes Latinos Electos de Georgia, Georgia Latino Forum, Malaysian Association of Georgia, North Fulton Bar Association, Organization of Chinese Americans, Refugee Family Services, y el Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Georgia.
