LAA to showcase workforce development success stories, partners

 Latin American Association to showcase Workforce Development success stories, relationship with State Farm and other key partners

State Farm is longtime supporter of the LAA’s workforce development programs

WHAT:

The Latin American Association (LAA), the largest organization in Georgia dedicated to serving the needs of Latino immigrants, will showcase workforce development programs, services and success stories from clients who have taken our English and computer classes; found a job with the help of our staff in the Workforce Development Department; participated in our Latinas’ Economic Empowerment Program; launched their own businesses and more.

State Farm, one of the major supporters of the Workforce Development Department,  will present the LAA with a check for $75,000.

“State Farm is committed to maintaining the vibrancy of our communities by assisting nonprofits such as the Latin American Association,”  said Renate Reed, public affairs specialist with State Farm. “By reinvesting in the community, State Farm gives back to the neighborhoods it serves so they become more robust.”

Other partners in attendance include ClearPoint, the Georgia Hispanic Construction Association and the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
